With the country's sparse charging infrastructure compounding this concern, numerous potential buyers still hesitate to embrace EVs.  Nevertheless, recent advancements in electric vehicle technology have led to a noticeable increase in EV presence on our roads. This progress translates into a burgeoning market offering new EV models with substantially extended ranges compared to those available just a few years ago.

Hence, we've compiled a list of the top 15 electric cars in the country, each boasting the highest claimed range achievable on a single charge according to the official claims of their respective manufacturers. These official claims are evaluated based on the testing standards (WLTP/NEDC/ARAI) used by each company and may not be directly comparable or reflective of real-world performance.

As this list features the highest claimed ranges, its focus is primarily on the premium segment of the EV market in Nepal.

The Skywell ET5 delivers a charge of 620 km (NEDC) on a single charge making it the highest-range EV in Nepal, claims the company. The large-size electric SUV gets an 85.9 kWh battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor to produce 150 kW and 320 Nm of torque. Similarly, it goes from 0-100 km/h under 7.9 seconds. The ET5 can be charged up to 80% in just half an hour using a fast charger.
